Igor Ardašev & Chuhei Iwasaki
The concert of Igor Ardašev & Chuhei Iwasaki brought the audience an extraordinary musical experience, the program included compositions by Jean Sibelius Lemminkäinen and Girls on the Island, Op. 22 No. 1, Edvard Grieg Concerto for Piano and Orchestra in A minor, Op. 16 and Dmitry Shostakovich Symphony No. 5 in D minor, Op. 47. Te soloist of the concert, the great Czech pianist Igor Ardašev and the Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra, led by their new principal conductor Chuhei Iwasaki, received well-deserved applause. The director of the Pilsen Philharmonic Lenka Kavalová, the mayor of the city If Pilsen Martin Baxa, the deputy mayor of the city of Pilsen Eliška Bartáková and the deputy governor of the Pilsen region Marek Ženíšek spoke at the beginning. The new Pilsen Philharmonic was also introduced to visitors – a new and world-renowned CD with compositions by Ernnano Wolf-Ferrafi, blessed by the Bishop of the Pilsen Diocese, Tomáš Holub. The concert was also attended by many important guests from cultural and social life, including the ambassadors of Norway and Finland to the Czech Republic Robert Kvile and Jukka Pesola and their wives.
