Pilsen Philharmonic is going to perform in Nepomuk

A speacial performance of the Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra as part of the celebrations of the 300th anniversary of the beatification of St. John of Nepomuk will take place on Sunday 16 May 2021 in Nepomuk.

 It will be broadcast live on TV Noe from 4 pm in the church of St. Jakub Větší vocally instrumental program called Prayer to St. Jan Nepomucký with the Pilsen Philharmonic. It will feature, among others, the Coronation Intradays by Jiří Ignác Linek, Antonín Dvořák's Prelude in A major, The Serenade from Pavel Josef Vejnanovský and The Cantata in Honor of St. John of Nepomuk by the composer František Xaver Thuri. The Pilsen Philharmonic is conducted by Chuhei Iwasaki, and soloists will feature Alžběta Poláčková, Nadia Ladkany, Tadeáš Hoza, the Charles University Choir and organist Jakub David Smešný.
